MUCHENJE LODGE

Chobe River

Well positioned for access to Chobe National Park but within a private area

Muchenje sits high on an escarpment on the quieter western side of Botswana’s Chobe National Park. With wonderful views of the Chobe River and the seasonal flood plains, far from the bustle of Kasane yet just two hours from the magnificent Victoria Falls.

Muchenje Safari Lodge is independently owned and run. It is within the Chobe Forest Reserve, just a short drive from Chobe National Park. There are no fences between the Western Chobe Park Boundary and the Lodge; animals roam free.

Chobe is renowned for its prolific wildlife and huge concentrations of game and the lodge prides itself in the variety and quality of safari experiences; game drives, night drives, boat trips, mokoro excursions, walks and village tours.

The main lodge has an extensive lounge, bar and dining area overlooking the Chobe River while the dining area is based around a communal dining experience - but guests can dine privately if they so wish. One of their offerings is a bush barbeque in a boma close to the lodge. Their chefs provide high quality food for all dietary requirements.

Extensive deck areas, the swimming pool and a fire pit maximise the space to appreciate the sunset hour or to gaze at the stars at night.

Muchenje has 10 private thatched cottages and a larger family cottage, each beautifully appointed with its own unique view of the Chobe flood plain.

The family cottage has an additional mezzanine, open plan sleeping area which can accommodate 2 children. With 2 spacious bathrooms and a generous deck it is perfect for a family or young friends travelling together.
